WBS Tableau

I’ve been a key member of  Waterloo Bonfire Society’s Tab team for the last few years. In 2014 I took the design lead and created (along with many hands) this tableau of Alex Salmond. It proved to be somewhat controversial, causing a Twitter-storm of protest and was sadly not paraded on November 5th. We had a second bite of the cherry and with a few modifications (including the addition of my 3D Twitter bird), he was successfully blown to smithereens a couple of weeks later.

Skeleton of the egg built in willow.
Wall built. Nessie's neck in place. Supports added.
Willow structure is tissued. Egg now has limbs and is sitting on Hadrian's Wall.
Tartan pattern painted on trousers. Head is papered for additional strength.
